iOS 6 Features

Apple has announced a list of new features that will be implemented into the new update named iOS 6 which is set to be released this Fall. The update will be free but only available on the following,
iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 4th generation, iPad 2, and The new iPad.

Alright lets dive into the new features that will be released in iOS 6.

Maps
First, Apple has announced they have teamed up with TomTom, a GPS manufacturer which will help completely overhaul the maps app. Apple will be getting rid of Google Maps including Street View and opting to go with TomTom's Turn by Turn directions which provides real-time traffic conditions and alternative routes.

Also because Apple will be giving Google Street View the boot, Apple will be releasing a 3D Flyover feature which allows you to see 3D images of cities and in which you can interact with by zooming in, turning and even tilting or rotating around a city.

Siri will also be receiving a major overhaul as it comes out of Beta mode. Siri will now be able to launch apps as well as give you information on sports from what the score is of a certain game, to schedules, rosters, and stats for all the major sports. Siri can also now tell you info on movie start times, ratings, reviews and even find you trailers. Siri will also help you find restaurants better with price, location, type and will even show pictures. Siri will also be able to make tweets or Facebook statuses.

Facebook Integration
Facebook integration in iOS 6 is huge, you will be able to share photos from the camera app, locations from maps and links as well as Game Center scores to Facebook. Facebook will also be integrated with your contacts and calendar which will sync things such as birthdays with your iDevice,

Facetime over 3G
Facetime will now be able to be used over 3G and wifi.

New Calling Features
You will now be able to decline incoming calls and instantly replace with a text message or even set a call back reminder when your free. There is also a Do Not Disturb feature which will hide all calls or texts in case you are busy and can not be disturbed unless its a "Can't-miss contact" such as boss, wife or parent that you may set.

Other Upgrades
Mail will have an upgrade that has a VIP feature to prioritize your emails with more important emails on top and also it will be easier to add photos and videos to email messages

The App Store will be receiving a major overhaul and redesign
